Mackenzie & AJ’s summer wedding day was a CELEBRATION!! Everyone at their wedding was there to honor and celebrate their marriage, and it was so fun to be a part of! Not only was it a great time, but it was also so well designed!

As always, Megan Welker Photography captured the memories of their wedding day so beautifully. Just look at these details shots she photographed of their wedding at Historic Seven Sycamores in June!

The ladies spent their morning being pampered with a bridal beauty routine in Hummingbird Cottage. Meanwhile, the guys got dressed in the Bridal Lounge.

Mackenzie & AJ shared an intimate first look in Tree Lane. We love how a first look gives the couple a moment alone (well in this case also with Megan Welker Photography, but who wouldn’t want to hang out with her!?) to take in all the excitement of their wedding day, but also calm some of their nerves. Plus, you really get an authentic reaction from BOTH the bride and groom seeing each other for the first time of their wedding day!

Couples that do a first look also get the chance to accomplish most of the important photographs before the wedding ceremony has even taken place! This gives the couple more time later in their day to enjoy a cocktail hour with their guests. Some of those important photographs include family portraits and the full bridal party photos. We loved their wardrobe choices and pairings of the champagne bridesmaids dresses and the blue tuxedos, I mean look how great they all look together!

Then for those of you who think that the first look will ruin the emotion for the couple at ceremony, be ready to be proved wrong. When the groom sees his bride walking down the aisle it is an entirely new wave of emotions. It is when the reality starts to finally set it that they get to marry their very best friend and forever love! Keep scrolling for proof with AJ’s reaction and some highlights of their ceremony in the Garden.

Following their ceremony, guests were welcomed to reception on the Garden lawn. We loved all of the design details they had at reception. Their seating chart featured hand calligraphed table assignments strung across a pallet wall. They had this amazing photo backdrop made for guests to use as a photo booth. Then at each place setting they placed a sweet thank you note to each of their guests.

From the barn doors, the bridal party and couple were introduced for grand introductions. Their bar hosted by i do cocktails was under the Vine Arbor along with their catered buffet dinner from Rocio’s.

The newlyweds snuck away during dinner to take these amazing sunset photos over by The Glass Barn. SO STUNNING!!

But let’s get back to this celebration of their wedding day, because that is exactly what this party was! The couple could have danced the entire night and celebrated alongside their guests. It was truly a party, celebrating Mackenzie and AJ’s marriage!

Mackenzie & AJ, if you cannot already tell – we LOVED being a part of your wedding day and are so thankful you chose to share it with us. We hope that this first year of marriage has been magical!
