Skincare & Beauty Regimne Before the Wedding

Every Bride wants to be the best version of herself on her wedding day! Would you show up to run a marathon without having trained, without eating the proper nutrition, without wearing the correct running shoes and attire in order to help you do your best? These simple principles can be applied to a Bride on her wedding as well. I see time and time again, a bride arrives the morning of her wedding to get her hair and makeup done, she is wearing leftover makeup from the night before, her eyebrows are not manicured and you can tell she hasn’t been drinking enough water because her skin and lips are parched. As you take time to plan the details of your wedding, schedule in time to take care of you! This should include everything from going to the gym, giving yourself a daily drinking challenge (drinking water that is), pre-booking your waxing/spray tan/nail/hair appointments, investing in a good skincare regimen, and allowing yourself enough sleep leading up to the wedding (no one likes a crabby bride). This will not only prepare you to look your best on your wedding day but it will also help you feel your best!
Although I might not be an expert in how to get you into the best shape of your life, I can suggest a killer skincare routine sure to leave you with that glowing skin you envision. Your regimen should be just that, a consistent routine you follow every single day. Start your morning and evening routine cleansing your skin washing away makeup and impurities (your skin is exposed to environmental factors while you sleep as well and should be cleansed every morning). Two to four times a week exfoliate your skin to slough away the dead skin cells and excess impurities, this will give you the smoother more luminous skin. After cleansing (and exfoliating) tone your skin in order to restore the PH of your skin and prep your face for a serum and moisturizers. Once your skin is dry, apply a pea size amount of serum all over your face. Serums are a concentrated formula made up of smaller molecules in order for your skin to absorb and the ingredients to penetrate into the deeper layers of your skin. Lastly, moisturize with a moisturizing cream and or face oil both morning and night (make sure the ingredients are pure). The moisturizer locks in the hydration your skin
My personal philosophy is your skin is with you for the rest of your life, spend money on it and take good care of it with quality products. Don’t go to your local drug store and load up on skincare products. I have taken the “research” out of it for you and have found the best skincare (and makeup) company in the industry.
