Boho Styled Shoot

Ribbon & Leaf with Dakota Lynn Photography

Back in April, Katie of Ribbon and Leaf & Dakota of Dakota Lynn Photography reached out to ask about hosting a styled shoot with us and our immediate answer was, yes, of course! Before we get into all the pretty details on this boho styled shoot, let us tell you a little more about these two awesome ladies.

If you’re looking for the planner that can do it all, you have to check out Katie from Ribbon and Leaf. She’s got style, impressive organization skills, and a stellar personality. You’ll love planning your wedding with her help, and will be so happy to find the process much less stressful. If a planning meeting over a donut and cup of coffee sounds appetizing to you, you’ll get along great with Katie!

As a Central Valley wedding photographer, Dakota has shot at Historic Seven Sycamores for some time now as a second shooter, but just recently has invested in her very own business Dakota Lynn Photography. We’ve loved watching her grow into her style and serve her couples so well! When she’s not shooting a wedding, you’ll likely find her two cute kiddos wrapped-up in her arms.

We’ve got one more talented lady for you all to meet, Willemina Brazeal. For this shoot, Mina was the maker of the stunning invitation suite AND was also the bride alongside her real-life groom and husband, Cody.

You’ve already met the models, but we’d like to tell you more about the beauty team behind their look. Nicholette of n.joyhair and Cassie of Cass Makeup were the stylist duo behind Mina’s soft curls, relaxed braid, natural and effortless look. The dresses Mina wore were both from the always amazing BHLDN and the off the shoulder dress was a Daughters of Simone. Cody’s tux was actually taken straight from his own closet, so we don’t have too many details on that category.

The invitation suite made by Willemina Typography was styled by Katie – she used one of the styling kits from Jade Magnolia. Another sweet detail from Natalie of Jade Magnolia was the semi-naked cake. How yum does that look!

All of the florals were arranged by Simply Flowers in Fresno, and can we all take a moment to admire that Pampas Grass. Such a fun texture and color! And those arrangements look amazing on the Farmhouse Table from Letter and Grain.

We love how Katie & Dakota decided to use and style different areas of the venue. The windowed backdrop to their sweetheart table gave off such a glowy light and their use of the front walk as a lounge was such a sweet touch. We just loved the chance to spend the day with these amazing ladies and their vendors!
